Folder Size

I can't count the number of times someone has asked for this.

So here is a module you can install that shows a Folder Size column in Explorer.

It needs some more work for functional reasons but is quite stable.

An example of the functional issues is; sorting doesn't work, it will put 18MB folder below a 19KB folder.

Put it in your system directory c:\windows\system32 then install it by typing regsvr32 c:\windows\system32\dirsize.dll in the run box

Now open Explorer in details view, you won't see the column yet. Right click on a heading in the right pane and select Folder Size.

When will I fix the sorting issue? I don't know? I just kludge stuff together. Anyone want to try fixing the sort order? OK, Someone is having a go, if they get back to me with a working fix I will post it. Ok they didn't.

UPDATE: Someone has done a better version. You can get it here http://foldersize.sourceforge.net
